The first weekend of April looks to be extremely busy for fans of the automotive world.
First, the Dallas Auto Show rolls into the Dallas Convention Center April 2-6. The annual show features hundreds upon hundreds of brand spankin’ new 2008 model cars, trucks, SUVs, CUVs and just about anything else with wheels and a motor.
Automakers also bring a host of new 2009 models as well as the latest concept vehicles. Some of the highlights include the Corvette ZR1, Hummer H3T, 2009 Chevy Silverado Hybrid, 2009 Dodge Ram, 2009 Ford F150 and Ford Flex, 2009 Hyundai Genesis and 2009 Nissan GT-R, just to name a few.
Attendees no longer have to settle for just kicking the tires at the Dallas Auto Show. Toyota returns with its Off Road On Site Adventure where show-goers have the opportunity to drive the latest Toyota trucks and SUVs in an offroad setting. And Mitsubishi offers a Ride ’N Drive event Friday-Sunday with some of its latest vehicles.

If stationary vehicles aren’t your thing, head on over to Texas Motor Speedway as the spring speed week returns with all of its NASCAR finery.
That rowdy bunch of race car drivers constantly turning left roll into town mid-week. Fans can enjoy lots of entertainment all weekend long including the Fandango fun April 3, Big & Rich concert April 4, O’Reilly 300 race April 5 and the April 6 big finale Samsung 500 that kicks off with a concert by the Doobie Brothers.
